Discover ancient Aboriginal rock art and allow yourself to be blown away by the beauty of the Carnarvon Gorge. The Boolimba Bluff towers 200 metres above Carnarvon Creek and is accessed by a track that passes through a diverse range of habitats - from forests full of ancient ferns, to rugged rocky outcrops dotted with giant boulders.
If you are a birdwatcher or nature lover, you'll be interested to know that more than 170 species of bird can be found in this area. It's best to do the Boolimba Bluff walk in the early morning when it's still cool as there are several very steep sections that will have you working up a sweat.
The 6.4 kilometre return trail is accessed via the visitor area in the Boolimba Bluff section of the Carnarvon National Park. It is a difficult grade and will take about three hours to complete....
