Established in 1980 by John and Kaye McMillan and officially opened in 1981 by iconic Australian singing legend Slim Dusty, McMillans of Metung Coastal Resort started with eleven cottages. The business was sold and expanded to include
twenty units of accommodation.
The resort is an idyllic holiday destination with superbly appointed modern and comfortable cottages and spa villas, offering the ultimate in privacy and tranquillity. Set on eight acres of manicured grounds and giant eucalypt trees.
A wildlife lagoon on the property is home to myriad birdlife, and the Metung Boardwalk along the front of the resort provides a comfortable spot for fishing or taking in the fabulous views of Bancroft Bay and surrounding areas.
Our games room is very popular with children and adults. It offers video games,
air hockey, table tennis, board games, darts and a pool table.
The kid's play equipment area and a full-size artificial grass tennis court (rackets and balls provided) are also popular. In the warmer months, our two swimming pools (one for adults and one for children) offer a great way to stay refreshed, or
you may choose to use our dry sauna, which is renowned for its relaxing
and detoxifying qualities.
