St Columba Cottage is a charming self-contained cottage in Weldborough, northeast Tasmania. The two-bedroom cottage provides a spacious master bedroom with queen-size bed and a brightly furnished second bedroom with three single beds. All beds come with electric blankets. There is a modern well equipped kitchen with a separate dining room. Breakfast ingredients are supplied including home baked bread and fresh jams along with hot scones on arrival.Historic Weldborough is the epicentre of the Chinese Tin Trail, following the path of early Chinese tin miners. Explore the Blue Tier forest tracks and enjoy a spectacular 30-minute downhill drive through the Pyengana Valley to sparkling beaches. Call into the cheese factory and take a stroll through the rainforest to spectacular St Columba Falls. It is only a 10-minute drive to Moorina golf course. Guests can also fossick for gemstones or relax with a good book by a cosy log fire. A large garden provides plenty of space for active children or pets to play.Tucked away in farmland, Weldborough is approximately a 40-minute drive north of St Helens on Tasmania’s east coast (45 kilometres/28 miles).
