Book Direct with the Owner at Megafauna Discovery Trail with Mackay Tourism in Margaret River, for all your Attraction and travel needs.
The Augusta Margaret River Tourism Association (AMRTA) has launched a Megafauna Discovery Map for children. The interactive trail takes visitors to Lake Cave, Jewel Cave, and Mammoth Cave, as well as the Margaret River Visitor Centre, where they receive a stamp once they have answered a question relating to a specific megafauna sculpture. Upon completion of the trail, children become a 'certified megafauna explorer', and receive free entry to Ngilgi Cave in Yallingup. Purchase of a cave tour at each site is optional and not a requirement to receive the stamp. The trail map also includes a series of activities for children, including a word sleuth, quiz questions and colouring in. The sculptures which make up the trail, of a Zygomaturus Trilobus, Marsupial Lion, Short-faced Kangaroo and a Tasmanian Tiger were created by talented local artist and AMRTA Cave Guide, Alan Meyburgh. The Megafauna Discovery Map costs AUD1, and is available for collection at Lake Cave, Jewel Cave, or Mammoth Cave, as well as the Margaret River and Augusta Visitor Centres.Mackay Tourism welcomes Megafauna Discovery Trail in Margaret River WA, we offer an experience that takes you on a journey of a life time in Margaret River.
